these stands look very much like my BOSE that I love. however, the base is build with much thinner metal and much lighter in weight. They can't hold much, maybe 1-2 lbs of weight, but they do a fine job doing so when they work. One of the base was broken right out of the box. I noticed that the area where you screw on the pole is a small plate that has just 2 spot weld holding it and one of the welds broke. right now, it would bend and sag. Good thing I have a welder and the skills to fix it myself but I might have to paint the thing again after the heat from the welder cooks off the original paint. the plastic cap that covers the speaker mounting bracket and wire does not fit nicely either. when the cap is seated all the way, it extends over the mounting surface about 1/16" which is enough to cause it to not stay on when the speaker is mounted. also not worth sending it back for a replacement. the paint on the whole thing as a whole chips off fairly easily as well. for $14 dollars shipped, can't really complain too much other than for the inconvenience.

These speaker stands are great for the price! Not too fancy but they do the job, as good as the pair I bought from walmart for a third of the cost!

Put my 1.3 lb Sony satellite speakers on them and they hold fine. These are visually unobtrusive,fairly decently made, and as cheap as a couple cups of coffee at Starbucks. Would I mount Carver Amazing Loudspeakers on them? - No - but if you have a couple of SMALL satellite speakers you want to get off the floor, these are a very affordable option.
Also, the current picture shows the top mounts on backwards. They actually face towards the center of the mounts so the mass of your speakers is centered over the base. Cheap plastic - but hey, it's only 10 bucks for a pair!
I'll add an update if they don't hold up.
